Livelihoods and Markets for Growth

The aim of our economic growth activities is to provide sustainable livelihood opportunities to those who have little income with the goal of reducing poverty in the community. Our support starts with research and assessments, and ends with vocational training or business development services for small to medium businesses.

An example of our approach to economic growth is restoring agriculture in Middle East as a sustainable economic activity by supporting farmers and processors. We provide business advisory services to help remove barriers to growing and selling produce to generate more income, thereby contributing to the recovery of the Middle Eastern economy and agricultural landscape.

01 Research and assessments

We conduct market and value chain assessments to understand and strengthen the context in which new small and medium enterprises operate. We collect information from value chain actors such as state agencies, farmers, financial institutions, donors, and experts to understand demand and supply, trends in prices, gaps in the value chain, and the constraints businesses face. Our findings help private and public stakeholders implement sustainable economic programs.

02 Vocational training

We support local vocational training centres to provide training to community tailored to the needs of different industries and business sectors. Our teams are experienced in establishing and managing training centers and providing supports via online learning platforms.

03 Business development for micro, small and medium enterprises

We believe that micro, small and medium businesses play vital roles in economic recovery and development. Based on our market assessments and value chain assessments, we provide business development services to improve their competitive advantage.
