Evarest Ochola

WASH Technical Advisor

Evarest Ochola is a humanitarian and development professional with 20 years of experience and leadership across Africa, the Middle East, Eastern Europe, and Asia. He combines technical WASH engineering expertise with strong leadership and managerial skills, and has led complex, multi-sectoral program spanning WASH, climate change, protection, resilience, and integrated emergency response. He is known for building partnerships with governments, donors, UN agencies, and local and international organizations, and for technical leadership of programs in high-risk environments.


He currently serves as Field Coordinator and WASH Technical Advisor at i-APS with a focus on the Water at the Heart of Climate Action (WHCA) Evaluation, and providing technical support to i-APS Global Technical Unit on WASH engineering, water-related hazard monitoring, and Early Warning Systems, and technical inputs in proposal development. He leads primary data collection, data quality assurance, and supervising data collectors across the five WHCA evaluation countries, including Ethiopia, Rwanda, South Sudan, Sudan, and Uganda; and contributes to evaluation design, tools, country findings, and cross-country analysis and evaluation reporting.
Evarest’s holds a master’s degree in Water and Waste Engineering.
